For the past few weeks we have had lots of sun and pretty high temperatures, which is very uncommon in our area. To quench our thirst we 'created' this drink that keeps us satisfied and refreshed.
So we start with the biggest bottle we could find in our house, which was a bottle we saved from wine.
Couple days before we prepared a mix of fresh mint and lemon concentrate. We put it in the fridge for couple days so it would get stronger mint taste. To make it 'release' the taste faster we used blender to chop it into tiny pieces.
Another ingredient we used was jam like thing our mom made when we got a hold of too much blueberries. We mixed it with water to make concentrate from it, so that when we add water to the bottle it won't lose the taste. Since she made it with sugar, we didn't need to add any sugar to the drink.
Then we pour all the separate mixtures in the bottle trying to keep all the small pieces out.
And simply add water!
Since our bottle has a very small neck we had to use Ikea's ice tray to make ice that fits in the neck of the bottle.
Ta-da! It's ready to be served, if you'd like you may add some more ice to your glass. :)
Enjoy!!!
*Tips: Do not add too much water not to lose taste or simply pour more of the ingredient mixtures in. Keep it in the fridge overnight if you don't like ice, it will cool it down plenty. If you like more refreshing taste add more mint, we usually taste it 2-3 times before we get it perfect. Try your best to keep the mint pieces out of the drink! Also you may substitute lemons with lemon juice.
